I've been reading Daily Guideposts for years, and Marilyn Morgan King is one of it's regular contributors. One of the thing she shared this year really speaks to me, so I thought I'd pass it along to you as well...
“I’d like to share with you three of the many lessons my eight decades have taught me. One: Wrapped up in every difficult passage in life is a gift from the Spirit. In times of trouble, I’ve learned to ask myself, ‘How does this serve?’ and ‘What is its gift?’ Two: What happens to me does not really matter; how I respond is what counts. If I can keep releasing everything to Spirit, peace of mind comes. Three: Inner peace happens when I intentionally feed my sense of wonder by immersing myself in the beauty of God’s creation and by breathing in music, art and poetry, while trusting God to take care of the rest.”
